 Coaches Comments:

Toi Garcia over the years grown as an outstanding individual that demonstrates strength and conviction. Over her career she has strived to achieve success and done so in many ways.  Toi reached her goal of level 10 4 years ago and has been to JO Nationals twice. Toi suffered a devastating gymnastics injury in 2007 that many never would have come back from nor even the desire; however with a steel rod in her leg Toi overcame the adversity of her possible career ending injury.  Through pain and hard work Toi didn’t miss practice and came back to the sport she loves so much, stronger than before she was hurt. It was only because of stick-to-iti-tiveness, determination, and an overwhelming desire to achieve that Toi was able to come back.  Because of this she is a role model and someone to admire and emulate by all. She proves the old adage “Team Together everyone achieves more” Her success is ours and ours has become hers.

What does your involvement in usa gymnastics mean to you:

Since I can remember people have said that they have seen more of my feet than my face.  My parents put me in USAG at Docksiders when I was 6 and I fell in love with the sport.  Being a part of USAG has opened so many doors and extraordinary opportunities.  From region 7 annual clinics to nationals, I have met so many great people that I call family.  Without USAG I can truly say that I would never see the person that I am today because of what I have learned and experienced.
